Sarah Sheven

Sarah Sheven is an intern at Round Earth.  She studied in Ecuador and worked at a local community radio station in Quito. After returning to the United States,  Sheven interned at KFAI Radio in Minneapolis and in communications  with The Arc Minnesota, a nonprofit organization advocating for people with disabilities. Sheven is a graduate of Hamline University.

Dafna Bearson

Dafna Bearson is a UC Berkeley junior majoring in Economics and minoring in Mandarin. She is a Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholar and the recipient of the Stamps Leadership Award. Dafna worked for India’s largest private corporation, the Tata Group, evaluating the company’s CSR investments to improve economic opportunity for girls in rural India. Previously, she taught English to migrant children and teachers in China for two summers. Dafna has been a research assistant for the CEO of Greenberg Inc., a strategic consultancy for fortune 1000 companies and supported the Global and Executive Training Program at the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley. Dafna is thrilled to be joining the Round Earth Media team in Morocco!

Elizabeth Callen

Elizabeth Callen is a social media intern with Round Earth. She is a 2014 graduate of Carleton College, where she studied English Literature and Latin American Studies. Elizabeth now lives in Minneapolis and is thrilled to be a part of the Round Earth team.

Josie Grove

Josie Grove is a social media intern at Round Earth. She has studied in France and Hungary, and worked in international development in Namibia and Botswana. Grove contributes to the Somerville Times and the Boston Hassle, and has interned at New Hampshire Public Radio. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Beloit College in 2013, and now lives in Boston.

Lucia Childs-Walker

Lucia Childs-Walker is an intern at Round Earth. Originally from Seattle, she graduated from Carleton College in 2015. While at Carleton, she studied History with a focus on United States and Asian history. Childs-Walker has won awards for her writing. She now lives in Minneapolis and enjoys exploring the Cities by foot, bike, and light-rail.

Richa Sharma

Richa Sharma is an intern at Round Earth.   Born in Bhutan and now living in the U.S., she graduated from Carleton College (Northfield, MN) in 2014 with a degree in Political Science/International Relations. Since graduating, among other things, she has been conducting oral histories of Bhutanese Refugees in Minnesota.

Sarah Barchus

Sarah Barchus is a social media intern at Round Earth.  A journalism and global studies graduate from the University of Minnesota, Barchus studied in Rome and wrote her undergraduate thesis on the U.S. media’s coverage of the unaccompanied child migrants from Central America.
